Our Church's Ministries
Music Ministry
Worshipping the Lord through music is a vital part of each service. If you have a desire to use your abilities for the glory of God, this ministry could be for you.
Nursery
Childcare for children from birth to age 3 is provided by loving, experienced caregivers during all services in our church nursery. They are able to play in a safe, secure, nurturing environment while parents attend the services. Parents receive a vibrating pager, which allows caregivers to notify you if you are needed.
Bus Ministry
The bus ministry is one of the most exciting ministries at Faith. Every Sunday, buses are ran to Bluffton, Berne, Geneva, and Decatur to pick up children, teenagers, and adults for church. On the way to and from church, the riders have an exciting program. Each rider will leave feeling loved and encouraged.
HOPE Recovery
HOPE is a Bible-based program to help not only overcome addictions, but also to grow your relationship with God. This program meets every Friday at 7:00 pm. Each week, God's Word is used to show how we have HOPE in and through Christ.
Junior Church
During the main service on Sunday mornings, children ages 3-12 are able to attend services of their own called Junior Church. During these services, they will hear engaging truths from God's Word, sing songs, and enjoy a time of activities and games.
Kidz4Christ
Kidz4Christ is an exciting ministry for children from 3 years old to 6th grade. It gives them the opportunity to earn points and prizes while memorizing and learning Scripture, aiding around the house, and being an encouragement and help to others. K4C meets at 7:00 pm on Thursdays during the service.
Bonded in Faith
This class is designed for single adults and married couples under 40 who desire to grow in their walk with Christ and build lasting, godly relationships.
Men's Prayer Ministry
Prayer is an essential aspect of our Christian life and is an important part of every ministry. The men of Faith have the opportunity to meet every Saturday morning.
Overcomers Bible Class
The class meets every Sunday morning and is used to equip adults of all ages with the necessary tools to be a light for Christ in every area of life.
Next Level Youth
Next Level is the Youth Ministry at Faith that focuses on helping teenagers take their faith to the next level. It is the goal of Next Level to turn out young people that are examples of believers (l Timothy 4:12). Throughout the calendar year, teenagers have opportunities to be part of several different types of activities, including camp, youth conferences, and other events.
Refined Ladies Ministry
The Refined Ladies ministry has been designed for the adult ladies of Faith. Throughout each year, there are many events and opportunities in which ladies can be involved.
Discipleship
Here at Faith Baptist Church, discipleship is a focal point of our ministering to the new believer. We currently are going through a 20 book series of lessons that help to teach foundational truths from the Bible. Pastor Marsh teaches the first four lessons on Sunday morning during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday school time, then other disciplers will complete the discipling of the people who complete those lessons on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. during the service.
Sunday School
Beginning at age 3 through their teenage years, children can attend Sunday school classes specific to their age. During the Sunday school hour, bible lessons and principles are taught that apply to the life of each child.
Nursing Home
On the first Sunday of every month, we gather at the Envive Nursing Home at 4:00 PM for our Nursing Home Ministry. Through uplifting songs, prayer, and Bible time, we foster meaningful connections that brighten lives and strengthen faith. We encourage everyone to join us in this rewarding outreach!
Young At Heart
The Young at Heart ministry is for people ages 55 and over. There are activities and events throughout the year that provide a time of connection and fellowship.
3E Ministry
"Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence!" (C.H. Spurgeon)
This ministry is primarily a weekly men's prayer ministry. We meet every Saturday at 9:15 a.m. with the sole purpose of praying with each other and for specific needs. One of our main emphasis is praying for missionaries and pastors all around the world.
The 3E's are taken from the Bible passage in I Thessalonians 5:11-14 where it challenges us to encourage, edify and exhort "them which labor among you" and "them who are over you in the Lord." So, we do just that, by praying for them and by writing them a note each week! So many are strengthened through this most important ministry.
Jail Ministry
One of the ministries of our church is the Ladies Jail Ministry and Hannah’s Transition House Ministry. These ministries provide an opportunity to share the Gospel, teach the Word of God, and encourage women who are searching for hope and direction in their lives.
Each Wednesday evening, Mrs. Marsh goes into the local jail to hold a Bible study with the incarcerated ladies. Through this ministry, she is able to witness to them personally and teach them the truths of God’s Word. Many of these women are facing difficult circumstances and need the hope that only Christ can give.
On Saturdays, we also minister at Hannah’s Transition House, where the ladies gather to study the Bible together. They bring their questions, and we are able to help them understand and apply the Scriptures to their daily lives. These times of study and fellowship allow the women to grow spiritually and strengthen their relationship with the Lord.
This ministry fulfills an important part of the Great Commission through teaching and discipleship. It is a blessing to see lives being changed and hearts being strengthened through the power of God’s Word.
